2. It’s fun.
Many of you know that I used to sell insurance for a living. While there’s nothing in the world wrong with that (my dad and granddad put food on the table by doing just that), it never seemed like something I wanted to do forever.
Thanks to The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I’ve had many more – and varied – opportunities to make money that doesn’t require putting on slacks and a button-up every day. (Forbes magazine did a nice feature on me about that.)
It’s not everyday you’re offered a hosting gig on TV. Sitting next to a hilarious co-host and talking about Bachelor in Paradise shenanigans isn’t the worst job in the world. It’s also the first time I’ve ever hosted on live TV I love learning the skills required for that.
