In Spite Of The Knocks It Gets, Instagram Is Great – Here’s Why

Instagram seems to be taking over the world these days. There are roughly 300 million people using Instagram worldwide. My mom, my dad, and even my eighty year old grandmother have Instagram accounts.

Instagram undoubtedly has big drawbacks (like people seeking affirmation from strangers) but today I want to talk about the positive side of Instagram. Instagram has allowed Catherine and me to continue sharing our lives with you all without the help of cameras from The Bachelor. People always ask us if it’s weird when people come up to us on the street and we’re always quick to answer no. It’s not weird because people feel like they know us and most everyone is extremely encouraging and supportive. It was so cool to see how invested total strangers were in our relationship during our season of The Bachelor and now with the help of Instagram, we can continue to share glimpses of our lives with you all through pictures, videos and captions.

So today I just want to say thank you to everyone who has ever left a kind or encouraging message for us and I want you to know that it doesn’t go unnoticed. We truly feel privileged to be able to share pieces of our lives with you all and we love the support you continue to show us. It also makes me feel good when people laugh at my jokes but that’s another post for another day. So again I say thank you and I look forward to sharing more with you in the weeks and years to come.
