We remember Kate Steinle, but look who has forgotten!

We all remember Kate Steinle, the precious woman who was randomly shot to death by an illegal immigrant as she walked along a San Francisco pier.  But shockingly the Obama administration says they don’t remember:

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson testified on Capitol Hill today about a series of ongoing immigration, illegal immigration and security issues. When asked about whether the Obama administration had reached out to the family of Kate Steinle, the 32-year-old woman who was killed in San Francisco two weeks ago by an illegal alien who had been deported five times, Johnson had no idea who she was. […]

When the White House was asked last week to comment on the Kate Steinle case, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said comment on “this specific case” could not be issued and that reporters should refer to DHS for information. It turns out the guy who leads DHS has no clue about who Kate Steinle is.

Pathetic!  The President himself finds time to write personal letters to 46 felons whose sentences he recently commuted, but his administration can’t find time to reach out to the family of an innocent woman murdered by an illegal immigrant they failed to permanently deport?

Kate Steinle and her family deserve so much more!

And so does every American who wants secure borders and common-sense immigration reform.
