MSNBC conveniently forgets that Bill Clinton is an admitted adulterer

Remember when Bill Clinton admitted to having a sexual relationship with Monica Lewinsky? Well, MSNBC doesn’t, that’s for sure.

On two separate occasions Monday, MSNBC hosts went out of their way to avoid accusing former President Clinton of infidelity, preferring to use the term “alleged” when describing the high-profile affairs HE HAS ADMITTED TO.

First was Tamron Hall, who was speaking with CNBC’s John Harwood about Donald Trump’s “vicious attacks” against Hillary Clinton’s treatment of Bill’s mistresses:

“John, before this morning, the lead was probably these vicious attacks that Trump has leveled against Hillary Clinton, her husband’s affair or affairs, alleged affairs. Now it’s his flip-flop on taxes and the problems this presents again with his own party.”

Trump’s “vicious attack” happened over the weekend as he pointed out Hillary, of all people, has no right to condemn his personal life:

“She was a total enabler. She would go after these women and destroy their lives. I mean have you ever read what Hillary Clinton did to the women that Bill Clinton had affairs with? And they’re going after me with women? Give me a break, folks. Give me a break.”

Hall continued slinging mud at Trump by saying he was against Bill’s impeachment at the time and believes that this is yet “another flip-flop without Hillary Clinton ever needing to respond.”

Because once is never enough for MSNBC to show its liberal bias, in a later broadcast, MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts unnecessarily covered for the admitted adulterer, saying Trump is “going right for the jugular when it comes to Hillary Clinton and going after Bill Clinton, and alleged misconduct with women.”

Alleged misconduct with women? Like the 50-year-old Clinton manipulating 22-year-old Monica Lewinsky into sex acts with the most powerful man in the world inside the most powerful office in the world? Or his other extramarital affair with model Gennifer Flowers? Or Juanita Broderick, Paula Jones… shall I continue? Bubba’s black book is quite extensive.

But, really, you can’t simply blame Hall and Roberts. They’re just putting into practice what they learned from the best verbal gymnast ever. Remember, it was Clinton himself that taught the world to argue what the meaning of the word “is” is. With a defense like that, why can’t “admitted” become “alleged?” In the politics game, words don’t matter — just the scrubbing of history.
