Dear liberals, Beyonce’s “Beyhive” has apparently lost its sting 2016-11-10T09:02:32-07:00

According to Perez Hilton, I recently angered “a force more powerful than anything she can imagine: the Beyhive.”

The Beyhive is the way cool people describe Beyonce’s fans, and I made them mad with a very gentle rebuke of Beyonce’s mom.  Here’s what happened.  On Halloween, Beyonce’s mom posted a photo of someone dressing up as my character from Clueless, but added that the new version was “prettier and more smart” than the original.  She later edited her photo and said she didn’t intend any harm.

Shade

My response was measured... and not at all unkind:

First of all, if you’re trying to throw shade about someone’s intelligence, maybe use “smarter” instead of “more smart.”  Here’s the thing — Kelly Rowland is a beautiful girl and I love the costume!  Imitation is the best form of flattery.

But that wasn’t enough to keep this oh-so-powerful force at bey… excuse me… at bay.

“Be careful what you wish for, Stacey,” Perez wrote, talking of this unimaginably powerful entity.  And he then went on the show some of the tweets sent my way.

Here’s one:

Well, here’s the thing. If the so-called “Beyhive” was so powerful, Hillary Clinton would’ve been elected President. But I guess these oh-so-powerful people couldn’t tear themselves away from Twitter long enough to go to the polls.
