There’s been a lot of controversy surrounding entertainers refusing to perform at Trump’s inauguration. It seems many celebrities feel they’re too good to stoop so low. The 1970s icon Marie Osmond was rumored to have accepted an invitation to perform but clarified that though she has performed for several presidents before, she “had no intention of performing at this inauguration, no matter who won!”
Osmond prefers to stay out of politics, saying, “I’m an entertainer.” But here’s what she had to say about supporting the incoming president:
“I think when it comes to our country we need to unite. I think we should all support our president whether we’re happy or sad. This is America.”
