The Friendship Room Needs Help!

The Friendship Room Needs Help! November 9, 2018

I am about to leave for Pittsburgh for the Convivium Gathering, which promises to be tons of fun if any of my readers are in town. I’ll be giving one of the talks, at 2:45 tomorrow.

But before I leave, I have here an urgent request for help from The Friendship Room in Steubenville.

For those of you who don’t know, in addition to their hospitality house, the Friendship Room runs a safe house for vulnerable women and women who have been trafficked. These women are destitute; a recent guest had no belongings whatsoever and nothing to wear but her hospital gown and slippers when she was brought to the safe house. The Friendship Room meets all of their needs through private donations.

And today, on the coldest day so far this fall, their furnace just broke and can’t be fixed. They need a brand new furnace, $2800 will cover it. If you can pitch in, please send checks to Friendship Room , PO Box 53, Steubenville, Ohio, 43952. Write “furnace” on the check so they know what it’s for. Or, you can donate online with their donate button here.

Thank you very much for helping Christ in the disguise of poor and marginalized women! And thank you to Randalson Heating and Cooling for coming to the house today to try to fix the furnace.
