Seven Inspirational Sports Movies That Would Be Worthless Without Their Scores

Seven Inspirational Sports Movies That Would Be Worthless Without Their Scores 2015-02-11T10:51:52-07:00

1. Chariots of Fire (Vangelis)

This. So, so much. Could there really be any doubt?

Chariots is the paradigmatic example of a C-RISM, in my book. And I think it’s probably the best film in the Inspirational Sports category, as well. It’s certainly my favorite. (Also my favorite example of Slo-Mo Used in a Way That Makes Actual Sense. Liddell’s race at Sma Glen brings a lump to my throat and a spring to my step every time I think of it.)
