Not that I would ever dare to tell you what to read at lunch…but if you’re looking for suggestions:
Ankle Biting Pundit says Conservatives are looking toward McCain for ’08. Keep scrolling, tehre’s more good stuff under that.
Gay Patriot notes that today is the 5 year anniversary of the END of the 2000 election and compares 12/12 liberals to 9/11 conservatives. An interesting piece.
John Hawkins has rounded up 40 obnoxious quotes of 2005 and yes, the remarks are obnoxious or stupid. But 40 seems like such a low number! I wish I’d gotten around to nominate this stupidity, here.
Kobayashi Maru takes umbrage for all of us conservative bloggers as he addresses the NY Times absurd contention that conservative blogs are effective because they parrot Limbaugh and Fox News. Clearly the Times knows not of what it writes.
Michelle Malkin takes the Times down in a headlock for the article and lays some serious blows on them, “oh yeah? Guess you never heard of Harriet Miers, eh? Ever heard of Porkbusters? She has the ultimate – excellent – smackdown.
Michelle also links to Time’s best photos of the year and they’re all predictably bleak. No picture of the new pope, the crowds at St. Peter’s proclaiming the old one, no pictures of heroic rescuers at Katrina, no pictures of the flourishing markets in Iraq. Michael Yon’s soldier cradling a baby is, unsurprisingly, absent No pictures of 200,000 Arabs taking to the streets to call out terrorists. No pictures of jubilant crowds of purple-fingered Iraqis. No picture of President Bush dancing with free Georgians.
It only happened today, but I know you’d never see this picture of Iraqi soldiers, dancing after they voted.
Iraq the Model has up to the minute reporting. Pajamas Media tells of excited, optimistic Iraq on the day of the vote. William Bennettis excited too.
Instapundit links to a good story at PJM on the increase in home schooling among African American families.
James Lileks says 2005 was all in all, not bad.
