The 2007 Weblog Awards

The 2007 Weblog Awards 2017-03-17T17:51:56+00:00

Kevin and the gang at Wizbang are once again presenting the Weblog Awards, and as usual, they have done a very impressive job pulling it all together.

This thing sort of slipped by my radar this year (okay, I’m not the most observant of girls when I’m on painkillers), and if I am reading correctly, then today is the last day to nominate your favorite blogs in one of any number of categories. This year, the Wizbang folks have smartly installed a “+” sign to the nominations so you can simply hit the button rather than add to a gazillion posts already saying “Captains Quarters!” or “Sister Toldjah!” or “J’s place!” or Bizzy Blog!” or whatever.

I was particularly glad to see this year the re-inclusion of the Best Religious Blog category, as last year I thought it a real shame that such folks as Julie at Happy Catholic and so many others (from all persuasions) had been left out. This year I’ve nominated Deacon’s Bench in that category as well.

Thanks to some very kind folks I find myself nominated in two categories, Best Individual Blogger and Best Conservative Blog, which I think is funny when you consider how many conservatives are not liking me very much, lately. I’m going over there now to nominate a couple of my favorites – hope you will get your nominations in, too! Lots of great blogs out there, and I particularly like these awards because in checking out the nominees I always find a few “new favorites” to slip into my blogroll!
