I can’t embed it, but thanks to Don Surber, I’ve had to mop coffee off my keyboard.
Hitler Singing the Theme from the Jeffersons.
I happen to think it’s the best sitcom theme ever written, and if I remember the back story correctly, it was composed by an actress who played Florida’s neighbor on “Good Times.” (Also a pretty good theme…”keepin’ your head above water/making a wave when you can…”) I think she asked to be given a chance to compose the Jefferson’s theme and the producers or someone said “no,” but she went ahead and did it anyway. Sorry it’s all so vague – it’s several decades ago. But I love the tune.
Don is blogging up a storm and having a lot of fun today, as you can see.
Also, Pajamas Media has some great features up today. Don’t miss this piece on Mark Steyn by Kathy Shaidle.
