Dirty Bombs, Dirty Elections; a roundup

Dirty Bombs, Dirty Elections; a roundup October 15, 2008

Okay, enough fun and games with the pie recipes – here’s a roundup of everything I’m finding interesting today. A smorgasboard.

Bill Ayers is just a really nice guy in the neighborhood.

I personally think McCain gains nothing in going after Ayers – particularly not in this debate where, having challenged McCain to say something “to my face” – Obama will be loaded for bear and ready to shoot down any concerns with appropriate (and mild-sounding) spin. But I’m sure McCain – his sense of honor outraged – will walk right into the set-up. IMHO, he’s better off going after ACORN and linking Obama to them, as he is certainly linkable, because America hates cheating, and I think the nation is sick of the specter of cheating – real or imagined – hanging over our elections. I’d go after his ACORN connections with everything I had, if I were McCain.

Did Iran try to sail a dirty bomb toward Israel for Yom Kippur? Okie is asking.

Bookworm has the script for tonights debate: and delivers it to you, so you don’t have to watch.

DJ Drummond has an extensive look at the polls which he says are not just biased but “wrong,” – with much analysis. My rule has always been to ignore polls until the last two weeks before the election. Hot Air has more on polling here. Apparently Obama feels that he’d have this thing sewn up if not for FOX News. Heh. Fairness Doctrine, here we come.

Christians and the Obama Conundrum; Four Must Reads: Paragraph Farmer has a must-read analysis on the subject and explores how emotion is overrunning intellect, for some. It’s very well done. Then, Bob Owens also wonders can Christians support Obama, while George Weigel mulls the pro-life part of the equation. Finally, Princeton University’s Robert George spells out just how dedicated to the proposition that vulnerable life does is expendable life is our Mr. Obama.

Obama & ACORN: He co-sponsored legislation to protect ACORN from lawsuits. Call them ACOBAMA, Inc. I am still tracking down something I read whereby – thanks to the “bailout” – every mortgage closing will include a $400.00 fee which will go directly to ACORN. If anyone has anything on that, let me know!

The Sex Scandal that Does Not Matter: because the Congressman has a D after his name. Federal money seems involved, but The Pelosi’s ethical Congress only goes after people with R’s after their names.

Informed Voters: Wherein we hear(essentially) “I’m voting for Obama and I’m glad he’s pro-life and that he picked Sarah Palin, who will do a good job as veep!” Scroll down for audio. Lest anyone think I’m being “mean” to the good folks up in Harlem, here is more evidence that people just don’t give a damn about what even they themselves think about things. Weirdest. Most. Nonsensical. Election. Ever. “Pure delicious crazy,” indeed.

Obama: putting the bus in reverse and preparing to mow down ACORN if he must, all while keeping his ACORN lies going.

Kos wants to crush your spirit: some will let him.

Not voting for Obama? There’s a file with your name on it.

Yes, this video is funny but I doubt the left will find it so.
