Sadly, I’m having all sorts of network issues today and don’t know when or if I’ll lose connection, today, so here are some quick odds-n-ends:
I love this video from Fr. Steve’s place. From a Catholic perspective it is silly, sweet, and – because it is so true to what we experience within our Catholic culture, even today – inspiring, as well.
From the Christophers: A great story for Christmas – a podcast you’ll want to hear about a woman who gave a kidney to a little boy she did not know.
John Fund says: how come the president-elect was so mute on the Chicago Way? Vanderleun offers one answer.
And there’s another, maybe:
As I noted yesterday – it only makes sense that Obama would have talked to Blago about his successor. Obama is making a mistake pretending that he never did. Especially when “transparency” was supposed to be part of his package. I can’t help but wonder, if this Obama/Rezko/Blago thing becomes big (and the press seemed yesterday to be trying to prevent that) will the press one day beat its breast for not “vetting” Obama and his associates as they did over “not asking enough questions” about Iraq?
Pajamas Media helps you keep track of the scandal.
Jay Nordlinger gives you Bush unfiltered, as he rarely is. It’s long, interesting, sad and powerful.
Enough politics. I just wanna have fun
