Holy Green Terror! Christian fanatics have found themselves a new threat in the world. It’s environmentalism and it’s the work of the devil! Or so claims a new DVD produced by something called The Cornwall Alliance, who believe stuff like this:
We believe Earth and its ecosystems—created by God’s intelligent design and infinite power and sustained by His faithful providence —are robust, resilient, self-regulating, and self-correcting, admirably suited for human flourishing, and displaying His glory.
They also have a list called “What We Deny:”
We deny that alternative, renewable fuels can, with present or near-term technology, replace fossil and nuclear fuels, either wholly or in significant part, to provide the abundant, affordable energy necessary to sustain prosperous economies or overcome poverty.
Really? Fossil fuels? You really want to go with the word “fossil” there? Hmmmm….
I like that they have a list of things that they deny. I personally deny that they have two brain cells to rub together.
Their DVD is called Resisting the Green Dragon because that’s their demon-y name for the environmental movement. Below is a trailer from their website.
