Trump Jr sees the hand of God in destruction of Floyd mural 2021-07-18T13:42:56+02:00

A  MURAL in Toledo, Ohio, of George Floyd, murdered last year by police officer Derek Chauvin, was destroyed by lightning on Tuesday – and religious imbeciles, including Donald Trump Jr, are seeing its destruction as the work of a ‘higher power.’

Trump Jr, above, took to Twitter to declare:

It’s almost like a higher power is telling us something. When was the last time you heard of a brick building being destroyed by lightning?

Well, I recall  that the Hoover Building in Stanford, named after racist President Herbert Hoover, was damaged twice by lightning strikes. Trump Jr – a former reality TV star, author, and Executive Vice President of the Trump Organization – added:

I am a builder and I’m not sure I’ve ever heard of it.

Christianity Daily reports that other opponents of the “Marxist-Socialist Black Lives Matter movement” are pointing out how the destruction of the mural was “a sign.” One idiot on Twitter wrote:

God has spoken. No idols before him.

Another said:

I’m not a religious man, but this is definitely a sign.

Yeah, a sign that lightning strikes can cause damage, fool. Director, producer and right-wing Republican Robby Starbuck tweeted:

Lightning had a good run but I regret to inform you it’s about to be called racist. Seriously though this sounds biblical.

Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz said in a statement local authorities promised that they will work together with Toledo’s arts commission and the artist to ensure it gets replaced:

So that the message at the core of this artwork can be heard. We may never know for certainty why the George Floyd mural came down. It could have been an act of nature, or it could have been an act of vandalism. What we do know is that the mural will be replaced.

A witness, however, reported to the Toledo Fire and Rescue that the wall upon which the mural was painted on was destroyed by lightning, causing it to collapse. The WTVG-TV station’s doppler radar showed a lightning strike around the area early Tuesday evening, corroborating the accounts of witnesses who reported the occurrence to the Toledo Police Department.
