Thank You To The Kshatriya

Today is Memorial Day in America, which is a time to remember and give thanks to those who have fought to keep us safe.

So today, as every day in my heart, I give thanks to the warriors, the Kshatriya, who so bravely put themselves in harm’s way to protect me.

I have a lot of respect for the people whose principles lead them to this great service.

It’s sad to me that we liberal hippies are accused of not supporting and caring about our soldiers. We absolutely do. We are grateful to them for their work and we see it as our duty to make sure that they are only called upon in true need. Their willingness to sacrifice their lives for our protection means that we must not throw that sacrifice away lightly.

There are times when war is necessary to uphold dharma and times when it is not. The Pandava fought their war, but only after every other option was exhausted. It is the very wise who can tell when the time for war has truly come.

However, in war or in peace, the warriors are always there guarding dharma.

Thank you to the noble warriors. I am grateful for all that you do.
