Day 70 of 90: Modo Yoga, Holy Moly 70

Day 70 of 90: Modo Yoga, Holy Moly 70 September 18, 2013

Day 70 of 90 straight days of hot yoga at Modo Yoga and I woke up at 4:30 am for a 6 am class today. As I awoke from my slumber, I thanked the divine for another day of life, another day to practice, another day to love fully, and another day to be of service.  How blessed are each of us. When we drop the need to worry, we can see the blessings of right now.

Today marks day 70, “Holy Moly”. When I started this I was just going for 30 straight days, now I am on day 70, and what a journey.  All of us are amazing.  There is a wonderful song by Master Sha that starts with, “I love my heart and soul, I love all humanity.”  I am reminded of that now.  Say that to yourself today, reflect on that, “I love my heart and soul.”

Today I celebrated day 70 with a flow class with teacher Carolina. She is always a great example of inner strength and instruction. Her style is clear, strong, and compassionate. I learn quite a bit about myself in her class, especially at 6 am.

Today I learned that I am truly grateful for the practice today, grateful for the work I have for today, grateful to coach my first practice with 16 under 8 girls in soccer, grateful for my light filled daughter, my parents, my family, all my teachers, friends, for Modo Yoga, for all the support people have given me in emails, comments, and on the street on this yoga journey. And so grateful that the divine has given me life today to breath it all in to my heart.  Grateful that no matter what happens in our life, or how it looks, that we can do it, move through it, and all though it may take time, sooner rather than later, we will see the light of why it unfolded as it did, but right now be with it, be with life, as it is moving through you.

A woman saw me in Trader Joe’s yesterday and smiled and said, “Congratulations on your yoga journey, you are so inspiring.” The divine always finds the right time to speak to us through others and remind us of how special each of us really is. Yes we all matter, each of us. Now there will be people who will say you don’t matter, silently bless them and move on. There are people on this planet that can’t wait to see you, love you, and be around you, because they love you as you are.  Go to them.  Give up making others wrong to be right, give up changing anyone, give up pettiness, putting guilt on others, shaming or humiliating others, or fixing anyone, when they are ready they will ask for help, till then, just be of service. Service comes from worthiness, knowing that you are loved and love itself expressing. Service, being still, and happy are noble acts, the highest acts one can live. Even when things are falling apart, choose stillness, choose service, and choose to be happy.

On to day 71 and thank you for your support….Namaste
