Your Full Moon In Cancer Survival Guide January 11, 2017

matthew currie astrology full moon in cancerWhether you believe in astrology or not, it’s common wisdom that things get a little nuts during a Full Moon. If you don’t believe me, ask any cop or paramedic you know — but don’t ask during a Full Moon, because he/she is going to be too busy.

The Full Moon may be exact at 6:34 AM Eastern/3:34 AM Pacific Thursday morning, but it’s in effect now and will be for most of Thursday. This Full Moon could prove to be particularly emotional, since it is in Cancer (the Sign that the Moon rules), and is making difficult aspects to both Jupiter (which super-sizes things) and Uranus (which makes things weird and erratic).

Fortunately, there are ways to deal with the impulses that the Full Moon in Cancer can cause. Here are a few handy tips on what to say (and what not to say) to those around you on this particular Full Moon:

DO SAY

“I understand that you require attention, and I adore you — you know that, right? — but I’m right in the middle of performing surgery. Maybe you could wait until I have this chest sutured up before I come and pat you on the head.”

DON’T SAY

“Guess what? NASA called. It turns out you AREN’T the center of the Universe.”

DO SAY:

“I’m sorry, this is a little undercooked, and the salad is a bit wilted. Could you take this back and have the chef try again?”

DON’T SAY:

Anything Gordon Ramsay would shout under the circumstances. Being angry and disappointed with your meal does not make you Gordon Ramsay.

DO SAY:

“Oh dear, I’m afraid I wasn’t able to make the payment this month. Can we make some sort of arrangement until things are more stable for me?”

DON’T SAY:

“Electricity is over-rated, and you’re just a chump on the phone. Why should you get any of my money? I dare you to disconnect me right now!”
