Join My Family in Arizona This Weekend As My Sister Graduates!

Willow is graduating from cosmetology school! This weekend, my whole family is going to Arizona for her graduation and I couldn’t be more proud of her.  (I take partial credit, because I was her guinea pig for so many years!)

In honor of my sister, my family’s going to gather near her school in Arizona and walking in the Hope & A Future’s Strikeout Child Abuse Walk this Saturday at 3pm in Phoenix. (And not a second too soon, because it’s been sooo cold up here.)  According to the organization’s website:

The walk is designed to combat child abuse through public awareness and financial support of programs that benefit Arizona foster children.

The event kicks off with a brief 1-mile family walk through downtown Phoenix and ends at Chase Field in time for participants to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks take on the Los Angeles Dodgers

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, so what a great way to bring awareness to this issue. Do you want to come out and walk?  Learn more and register here.

Make sure you wave if you see me!

Yes, Michsel and most of all, don’t acknowledge another Palin falsehood!!!!

    John 8:11b CEV
“You may go now, but don’t sin anymore.”

  • D louis

Normally I agree don’t feed the trolls but because this one is
so easy. I have a daughter graduating from high school in June and it
is true she was born in 1995. However, half her graduating
class was born in 1994. It probably varies from state to state but where I live
the cut off day is typically June 1. So, for anyone born in 1994 after that date-say in
July- the regular graduation date would be next month and
graduation from high before then would be early.

  • Thotocv

D Louis, before you commented it would have even got for you to bother to look up what the cutoff is in Alaska. It’s August. Willow was born in July. So it remains Williw did NOT graduate early . She graduated on time.

  • Thotocv

Yes D Louis, that really was ” so easy”!

  • D louis

Unless of course being a month from the cut
off date they started her early which is very common
for girls-boys tend to go other way and will be held
back if they are on wrong side of cut off date

  • Thotocv

I doubt it D Louis, unless she was ” slow”. In fact I find it curious that Willow even graduated ON TIME seeing how much absence she had during her senior year. And Bristol too was out for months in her junior year because of mono ( or something?) and then her senior year to have a baby. We’re these girls given regular diploma or some kind of GED. Seriously, it dies f seem to take much to get one in Alaska. Or dud they get special treatment?

Another funny thing about Sarah’s Facebook post is she extolls the affordability of vocational school over university and college. That may be true, but not in Williws case: the part-time, one year program the the Pennrose Academy she took cost almost the same as a four year degree from University of Alaska. And that is not taking into account travel costs. No, the truth us, Willow chose beauty school because she never was on a track for higher learning and would have been ill-prepared for it. Vocational school was simply a good choice for her, that’s all.

Well Liberty, that round be purse strings. I expect I did some crazy typos as i am pron to doing on my iPhone and it autocorrected to ” springs”. You do know what purse strings are, yes? I don’t need to explain that euphemism?

  • michael

Thotocv you are a sick individual if you can’t understand that this was posted for positive support of Willow’s accomplishment and for those who are interested in all things Palin. But tearing down a young lady’s merits or suggesting her school wasn’t higher learning then you have another problem, as the term higher learning references any school after high school.

Liberty not knowing what “purse springs” are in no way means this person needs help with the commonly used euphemism “purse strings”.

“Trueblue, willow is probably just repeating her moms words. She probably doesn’t even know what liberals are all about and could very well end up being one herself if she gets out from under her parents’ purse springs.”

Excuse me, how is this a euphemism? Exactly how did you substitute “purse springs” to make the situation less harsh?

It’s interesting that you mention your iphone that it finishes and auto corrects your spelling. So you have pron in your iphone dictionary?

Will you please act like a true liberal and give people of other thought freedom to decided for themself? We simply do not agree with you and could not and will not at this time. Attacking Willow on a page meant to congratulate her accomplishment is not helping. It sure seems at this point if you would be able to at least express tolerance for people with other thought you might seem more like someone worth hearing out (somewhere else!).

But please don’t attack a Palin for her higher learning, how bored or idle does your mind have to be? Try and do something useful with your time and express yourself. You can cook, or draw, or maybe something to get your creative juices flowing. You can even get googles daily pron and do all four at the same time!
