Woman gets body shamed by “tolerant” liberal – and has the perfect come back July 1, 2016

Brynne Huffman, a beautiful woman from Texas, was dropping off a package at her local UPS store when another woman in line complemented her hair. That’s nice, right? But then things turned awkward when that same woman added, “You should probably rethink the shorts.”

What?!

If that’s not bad enough, the woman hurling the insult was wearing a “Co-exist” T-shirt. You know the one; you’ve seen it as a bumper sticker with peace signs and all the “can’t we all just get along” symbolism:

Coexist-bumper-sticker-feat

Every time I see one of those stickers, I cringe. I remember blogging about a pro-life display that was run over by an angry college student who had that sticker on his car. I think these people only want to co-exist with people EXACTLY like them.

Deep down,Brynne was really hurt and wanted to run home and change as fast as she could.

“And THAT made me angry,” she wrote in a Facebook post that has now gone viral. “Gender doesn’t matter. Race doesn’t matter. Religion doesn’t matter. Sexual orientation doesn’t matter. But fat? Apparently fat matters.”

Brynne said that it took enough courage just to buy the shorts, much less wear them. She admits her tan, muscular legs don’t look like she wants, saying they “are not up [to] traditional beauty standards (read: Photoshopped) because cellulite.”

But she’s used this negative experience to send out a positive message to others and used her popular story to start a new support group on Facebook, “The Body You Have:”

Good for this woman for standing up to body shamers.
