When the Congressman’s son dabbed, it made me remember this funny “kid + politics” moment January 13, 2017

New congressman Rep. Roger Marshall (R-KS) just wanted a nice picture with his family and House Speaker Paul Ryan to remember when he was sworn in. But his son Cal dabbed.  Ha!

To the speaker, it looked like he was holding back a sneeze.

“You all right?” Ryan asked. “You want to put your hand down? Were you going to sneeze, is that it?” a mystified Ryan asked.

Cal’s dad stayed smiling, focused on the cameras, trying to ignore whatever was going on behind him. But later, when he found out what Cal did, he dished out some punishment:

After a full day of posing for pictures with new Congress families, the speaker of the House tweeted out a few pics of the proceedings — not the one with Cal, of course — but he did mention it:

I don’t get it either, but apparently, it’s still all the rage with kids. I should know, my son Tripp is obsessed with it!!!!  I can picture my son doing the same thing!!!

(I’m sure this kid learned his lesson.)  This “dabbing” thing is something I don’t get either, but kids do funny things when thrown into the political arena!
