Back in December, a student at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California filmed his psychology professor going off on President Trump and Vice President Pence during a human sexuality class. Olga Perez Stable Cox called the VP “one of the most anti-gay humans in this country” and said Trump’s election was “an act of terrorism.” She even said that the people who “creat[ed] the assault,” those who voted for Trump, were “among us.” But apparently at OCC, venturing way off topic and accusing your students of being the enemy won’t get you in trouble but exposing a professor for not doing her job will.

The student who uploaded the rant to YouTube,, has been suspended for an entire semester because the recording violated the student code of conduct which states a student can’t film a person without permission at any “District Property,” nor use an “unauthorized electric device” during classes and lectures. Of course, there is nothing in the professor’s code of conduct, if there is one, that states a teacher should teach the course materials at hand and leave politics out of a non-political class. But fascist institutions have different rules than the rest of the world.

O’Neil faces several additional punishments: he is required to meet with the dean to see if he qualifies for reentry. If he is accepted back, he will be on probation for one semester and he will have to submit a letter of apology to Professor Cox. That letter must include the following, according to Campus Reform:

  • Why you videotaped your Psychology 165 professor knowing that it was a violation of the course syllabus.
  • Your thoughts and analysis on why you decided to share the video with others and what you thought would happen to the professor.
  • Your thoughts and analysis on the impact of the video going “viral” and the ensuing damage to Orange Coast College students, faculty, and staff.
  • Other choices you could have made to resolve the situation.
  • How you will prevent this from happening again in the future.

If O’Neil fails to deliver on all of these punishments, he faces permanent expulsion.

Bill Becker, the founder of Freedom X, is representing O’Neil for his appeal and said in a statement:

“He was in fear of retaliation by his instructor after she launched into a half-hour rant in which she labeled Trump a ‘white supremacist’ and told the class she would no longer tolerate any person who voted for Trump. O’Neil videotaped the rant over concerns that his grade might be lowered for the class because of his outward show of support for Trump. He intended to use the video to present to the administration as evidence of his concerns.”

Becker accused the school for launching “an attack by leftists in academia to protect the expressive rights of their radical instructors at the expense of the expressive rights of conservative students on campus.”

But that’s the way it is, now, at American colleges. Schools have allowed the rise of new fascism to rage out of hand and declare anything to the right of all-out liberalism as the enemy. Radical professors are protected, and conservative students are punished.

Perhaps O’Neil can take his dollars elsewhere and hit them where it hurts…

Had it been a teacher talking about Obama, they would’ve been fired!
