A Spring Appeal

Below is the spring appeal letter that was mailed out to Christopher supporters. It will be a rare occurrence that I post an appeal for financial support on this blog, but if you can offer any prayers or help, please thoughtfully consider it:

“People everywhere hunger for spiritual nourishment as much as they do for their daily bread. It is a deep consolation to know that we have been able to supply even a tiny crumb of that nourishment.”
Father James Keller, M.M., Founder of The Christophers

Though Father Keller wrote that nearly fifty years ago, it still holds true today. During this time when many of you are struggling to pay your mortgage or fill your car up with gas, you still need words that will lift your spirit and motivate you to work toward a brighter future. We want to keep providing those words to you, but we need your help.

Would you make a gift that helps offset the costs of our many outreach efforts? Our projects include Christopher News Notes, Christopher radio shows and podcasts, the Christopher Awards, Christopher Leadership Courses, the Christopher website, weekly newspaper columns, the annual Three Minutes a Day book, contests for high school and college students, and free Christopher literature for prisoners and people who are hospitalized.

We do our work as economically as possible, but we rely on your donations to keep it going. And we know you rely on us too. One reader wrote, “Christopher News Notes always seem to come at just the right time to remind me that God is among us.” Letters like that from Christopher friends arrive all year long. We are fortunate to be partners with you in such a rewarding mission. Please help us continue this work with your kindness and blessings today.
