“War Horse” was one of my favorite films of last year! A great, sweeping story that had the emotional impact without making you feel manipulated. I bet the bluray is awesome! Just stumbled on your site, nice reviews! I’ll be checking back often!

War Horse caused my grief issues surrounding my two recent miscarriages to erupt to the surface. While much of the story seemed unrealistic and less believable, I broke into tears of recognition and empathy watching Joey storm the trenches and tear headlong into the barbed wire until he was hopelessly stuck in his despair. I realized that “I was that horse”–devastated and desperate. Watching the two “enemy” soldiers work to set him free with care, diplomacy, respect and even humor gave me hope that perhaps someone may understand my grief enough to help me out of my sorrows with love. I was reminded that humor could be another lifeline for me to hold on to in the darkest of times.

This film looks like another great Spielberg epic! I would love to add it to my collection.

  • Laura Miller

War Horse was a wonderful movie. It helped me to visualize World War I which my grandfather was in the Calvary during that war and was wounded, shot off his horse. My grandfather was awarded the purple heart. The costumes and the visuals really helped you feel a part of the period of time. Thank you so very much for an experience that I felt that I could be apart of. My grandfather has been deceased since 1961. And the movie has helped me grow to appreciate what he and all the service men have done for this country.

This movie is a beautiful drama and what Lassie would be if he was a horse

  • Lisa Bourne

I want to win because it looks like a decent and good family movie, plus my daughter is obsessed with horses, it really is her passion in life, and we have not yet seen the film.

I loved “War Horse” because (as you said yourself) it shows how our better natures can show through when we care about someone/thing else more than we care about ourselves and our own goals. It doesn’t just apply to Joey, it applies to the brave soldiers who behave with honor and courage. The movies reminds us of how humans were created to behave. I would love to own the Blu ray.

I have yet to see this movie, but my sister loves it. Since most of my movies seem to be about finding rays of light in dark places, War Horse sounds like it would fit right in.

“War Horse” is a fine film. We enjoyed it quite a bit in the theater.

Have yet to see the movie, but since I have found most Speilberg movies worth the watch, I’m sure this one will be a good one to see.

I would love to win the movie War Horse because I love horses! I love their silence and the bond they can form with humans- if humans learn to respect them. Horses are amazing creations of God, they are intelligent, beautiful, therapeutical, lovable and loyal. I’ve heard this film portrays a amazing story about a bond among a horse and a human. I hope to one day own a horse, in the meantime the movie War horse will make me happy!!!!
