What do I need to fix about my shiny new Patheos blog?

I am going to try to figure out how to turn the commenting option off completely. I love you guys and everyone who has tried to comment so far has been great (I’ve been seeing them and writing commenters personal emails explaining why they’re not being approved) but I dread the day I post about something personal or controversial and awaken to Libresco-esque comment counts. I lack the temperament for comments-boxing. My email is eve_tushnet@yahoo.com and I answer all of it eventually, so talk to me there, not here. Clicking the little flying envelope on the sidebar also lets you email me.

What else do you want to see changed?

    Hmm, you may want to make the “Email me” easier to spot. I would never have guessed that’s what it did. It’s under “Follow Eve Tushnet!” so I assumed it meant getting an email every time you write a post. Either give it it’s own sidebar element or put a ‘Contact’ tab up top.

    I’m in favor of more top tabs, period. I think the “Who Am I” and the “Gay Catholic Whatnot” intro would be better served up there than buried under “Recent Posts” etc.

    Also, I miss the blog’s tagline! I would not be able to intuit it from the rose and chains.
