  • I’m not trying to make light of an Alzheimer’s diagnosis, but this post made me think of something.

Since I was homeschooled and not allowed to listen to anything my friends were listening to, this 28-year-old has a better-than-average awareness of 1950s and 60s pop culture. Bobby Vee had this other song, “The Night Has a Thousand Eyes,” that is pretty much one of the creepiest songs in the history of Top 40 radio.

“cause the night has a thousand eyes
And a thousand eyes can’t help but see if you are true to me
So remember when you tell those little white lies
That the night has a thousand eyes”

Kinda freaked me out. Come to think of it, that’s kinda how I was taught to understand God. Better be good or you’ll be sorry.

Sad news. Great music from a bygone era. I’ve always been partial to Rubber Ball.
