I Have Some Good News by Preston Condra and Kelly Condra, is a book that can be given to anyone who wants to know how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. The structure of the book is similar to a companion book By Which We Are Saved. However, this book is an extended evangelistic tract, written to provide the reader everything one needs to know to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The book uses 1 Corinthians 15:1-8 as the basis for presenting the Gospel (or good news) of Jesus Christ. The book introduces the Gospel with the deliberate question: “What’s the Point?” The following chapters each deal with an element of the Gospel:

Chapter 1: The Gospel By Which We Are Saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-8)

Chapter 2: Who He Is – addresses God and the Person of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9)

Chapter 3: What He Did – addresses the death, burial, and resurrection for sin (Titus 3:5)

Chapter 4: Why I Need It – addresses the reason I need salvation (Hebrews 10:31)

Chapter 5: How To Get It – shows how I receive salvation through faith (1 Corinthians 1:18)

Chapter 6: Where To Find It – shares a brief defense of finding salvation only in the Bible.

The concluding chapter addresses what the Gospel isn’t about (Exodus 34:6). This is followed by an excellent “Index of Objections” that lists objections the reader may have the Gospel. This index lists these objections as questions that one might ask along with an excellent response from the Bible.

This book is an excellent resource and evangelistic tool. I Have Some Good News can be used to hand out to people who are skeptical of the Christian faith. Churches can use them to give to visitors or to be used in evangelistic outreach.
