I am Jesus, so says the Aussie Man

WOW!!! What a week! It’s only Tuesday and in one week’s time we have the Second Coming and the Rapture. Oh. Wait. Don’t those two always go together?

What I love best about it is that Jesus talks with an Aussie accent and he’s movie star handsome! I bet all those atheists are SORRY now!

AOL reports that Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene have returned. Or at least that’s what one Australian couple wants you to think.

Cult watchers are keeping a close eye on the pair, actually named Alan John Miller and Mary Suzanne Luck, who under the title “Divine Truth” claim to be the second coming of the biblical figures.

“Just a little over 2000 years ago, we arrived on the Earth for the first time,” Miller says on his website. “Because of my personal desire and passion for God, as I grew, I recognized not only that I was the Messiah that was foretold by ancient prophets, but also that I was in a process designed by God that all humans could follow, if they so desired.”

Jesus as an Aussie Man.

Somebody just made my day.

I wasted nearly an entire minute before I turned off the clip. That guy gives me the willies.

Oh, he’s got the head and facial hair down. That oughtta do it, right? I won’t waste my time on the clip, but could someone else can fill me in? Does Aussie man foretell his own death? Also wondering: Would Jesus drive on the right side of the road, or… on… the… other… side?

I’m wondering if only glib, unfunny remarks about religion are allowed here? This is a valid psychological phenomenon oft repeated in the history of Christianity. It also sheds some light on how the original Jesus was treated.

      Tony:
Yep. We are all about being glib and unfunny here.

As an Australian, I just wanted to say we are as perplexed and bemused by this fellow as many Americans certainly must be. Talk about mixing your religious concepts – who knew reincarnation was Biblical?
