Worthwhile Reads: Older Quiverfull Daughters and Parenting

Quiverfull ideology states that older daughters learn the skills they will need to be a mother by practicing on their younger siblings. By essentially “raising” a handful of children while in high school, older quiverfull daughters prepare themselves for their own roles as mothers. A growing number of articles by women who grew up as older daughters in quiverfull families is challenging this idea.

    Reading about quiverfull lifestyle and those who broke away from it leads me to one questions….were those QF daughters ever told by their parents that they loved you– just for who you are and that you did not have to accomplish one darn thing to keep that Love? Did the pastors of the churches you attended ever preach on God’s love for His people?
