About Libby Anne

Libby Anne grew up in a large evangelical homeschool family highly involved in the Christian Right. College turned her world upside down, and she is today an atheist, a feminist, and a progressive. She blogs about leaving religion, her experience with the Christian Patriarchy and Quiverfull movements, the detrimental effects of the "purity culture," the contradictions of conservative politics, and the importance of feminism.

Only just saw this. Thanks for the shout-out. I have a project in the works about submission but I have to work around a heavy college load this semester so we’ll see when it actually gets done. So glad that my little girl won’t have to grow up hearing all this crap from us, or from most people at church (some are very conservative but I think it’s easier to tell her they are wrong when most people we are around aren’t like that).
