Trump reduces non-negotiables to four November 15, 2016

and gives himself an eventual out for betraying the desecrate-an-altar-for-Trump crowd:

The President-elect said that he would allow the Supreme Court’s decision on same-sex marriage to stand because “it’s law.”

“It was settled in the Supreme Court,” he told Stahl. “I mean it’s done.”

It’s done. The Supreme Court settled it, says the Dear Leader. So strike gay “marriage” from the five non-negotiables, Catholic supporters, cuz that’s toast.

Meanwhile, as he did in the debates, he never gets around to saying he will do anything about Roe (cuz he won’t, cuz he doesn’t care about it). He merely meanders around a hypothetical of what could happen if it ever went away:

“Abortion, if it were ever overturned, it would go back to the states,” he told CBS News’ Lesley Stahl in an interview on “60 Minutes.”

“Yeah, but then some women won’t be able to get an abortion,” Stahl replied.

“Yeah, well, they’ll perhaps have to go—they’ll have to go to another state,” he said.

“And that’s OK?” Stahl asked.

“Well, we’ll see what happens,” Trump said. “It’s got a long way to go, just so you understand. That has a long, long way to go.”

“What,” you may ask, “is the difference between ‘It was settled in the Supreme Court. I mean it’s done’ for a gay marriage ruling a couple of years old and an abortion ruling that has been (in words of Republican appointee John Roberts) ‘settled law’ for 43 years and only underscored by other rulings from other Republican appointees?”

The answer is, “Nothing. Not a damn thing.” And should the time come, abortion will not occupy his thoughts in the slightest.

For this guy, sacrilege was committed–and is now ardently defended–by the anti-abortion-but-not-prolife movement.

Meanwhile, his real interest and focus is on the agenda being promoted by his Chief Strategist, an alt-Right racist and anti-Catholic. That’s where the energy and time will go.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me for thirty years, shame on me.

The way to avoid getting suckered any more is to listen to the Church’s whole teaching and defending those who defy it while using the unborn as human shields for their culture of death priorities.
