not population growth.

What’s curious is that it used to be conservative prolife people who banged away at that point.

But as racists like Trump, Bannon, and Steve King have taken over, that narrative is falling to pieces. We used to hear about demographic winter and how we US Christians needed to have more kids because the Mooslums were outbreeding us. But when a large population of Christian refugees came from the countries in Central American that our policies had screwed over, suddenly there was no room and the economy could not support them. Indeed, Bannon accuses Catholics of only wanting those damned brown refugees for their tithe money. Turns out not all Christians are equal in the struggle to repopulate American. Only Good White Christians are wanted.

Then there is this disgusting lie:

Image result for homeless vets not refugees

…all on behalf of a Party that is turning away both the refugee and the homeless vet so they can cut taxes for the 1%.

And for the Christian conservative, there is the everlasting cry “but abortion!” to keep them running around defending it all, as though the GOP is going to magic abortion away and is not working overtime to drive abortion rates up by denying Medicaid and maternity services to low income mothers.  Weirdly, some “prolife” people even defend that in the hallucinatory delusion that Roe is going to be overturned Real Soon Now if they just believe that Baby Christian Trump get Gorsuch confirmed.  No matter how many times they are betrayed by the GOP (whose appointees are responsible for ever pro-abortion judgment SCOTUS has handed down), “prolife” Christians keep putting their eggs in one basket: someday Roe will go and we have to sacrifice everything–including all our integrity and unborn babies themselves, not to mention the least of these–to that monomaniac fantasy.

What is amazing is how easily the middle class buy all this again and again.  Your wages flatline or get cut.  Your health care gets hacked down like sugar cane by these con men.  And what what do you do? Attack the poor like they are the ones cheating you. Fight for every culture of death lie the Party of Trump tells.

I get that Steinbeck remarked that Americans always imagine themselves to be temporarily embarrassed millionaires.  But sheesh.  How often do you have to get screwed and then sicced against the weak for your scapegoat before you listen to James:

My brethren, show no partiality as you hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man with gold rings and in fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, “Have a seat here, please,” while you say to the poor man, “Stand there,” or, “Sit at my feet,” have you not made distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brethren. Has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you, is it not they who drag you into court? Is it not they who blaspheme that honorable name by which you are called? (Jas 2:1–7).

Or you could try listening to the Church and obeying her and not parties first.
