As a master astrologer and a much respected elder in the Pagan community, Ivo Dominguez Jr’s Practical Astrology for Witches and Pagans: Using the Planets and the Stars for Effective Spellwork, Rituals, and Magickal Work is the best book I’ve read on the subject of magick and astrology. This book goes far beyond using planets for astrology but rather understanding how astrology is a map of multidimensional reality, teaching you how to use this information to your advantage. He ties together a lot of information that I’ve never seen done before in a book on astrology or magick. I found this to be a crucial “missing link” in a lot of occult literature out there.

The book goes from beginner to advance, ensuring that readers of all experience levels can follow along and understand the author’s information. The book is full of diagrams and charts making it feel as though you’re taking a course with Ivo himself within the pages. This book is sure to enhance anyone’s magickal practice as well as their understanding of astrology itself. The book also gave me a lot of inspiration for my own personal practice based on pieces of information and concepts that really struck a chord with me that I then decided to develop and enhance into something personal for my practice – which to me is the highest sign of a good occult book.
