A friend and fellow blogger shared with me Wendell Berry’s poem “The Real Work” this week (you can read the whole poem, only 6 lines long, here at the Writer’s Almanac. Can’t actually reprint it on the blog because copyright.)

I’ve been thinking about it a lot since. We all make a lot of plans. We try a lot of productivity hacks. I’m a part of the faith and work movement and we talk about God’s plan for work a lot. Not that we shouldn’t plan, but…..what are we learning from the time when we become the impeded stream? Are those maybe the moments when we are on the truest vocational path?

Just a thought.
