That is what living a good Christian life does for people. I give up judging religions by any other criteria than by the fruits they bear. Christianity bears the best fruit and I give the Church a free pass on the Crusades and anything else it had to do to prevent the spread of Islam and other heresies. We can see by the fruits born by each, which would be better for the prospect of world peace.

Well, had he killed her, he might have repented later and not gone to hell. Possibly her prayers for him could have helped him in that direction. I’m glad it didn’t come to that, however. We need as many tough old women in this world as we can get. My 92 year old aunt is one of them.

“You can’t win, Vader. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine….” :)

Totally cool lady with a lot of nerve. Fortunately she wasn’t killed.

At her age, what did she have to fear? From one of my favourite stories: “The old woman had decided that her son should lie in consecrated ground, and she had got what she wanted. As for earthly law, it mattered little to her. In a short while, because she was as old as Methuselah, she would die, and she would report to God, and God would deal with Bill [ her son's murderer ] for good.” (Giovanni Guareschi, “Two Blessed Hands”, from the Don Camillo stories)
