Sometimes eating healthy makes you want to jump off a cliff.

It can quickly become bland and tasteless and leave your tastebuds longing for flavor. As I mentioned in a previous post, I like to start my new fitness programs by spending the first two weeks on a very controlled and calculated diet. Those first couple of weeks are no fun but it does certainly jumpstart your metabolism and overall fitness routine.

So now that those first couple of weeks are over, it’s time to start introducing some other healthy, more tasteful items to the menu. As you may know, Catherine and I are pretty much addicted to pizza. There’s nothing better than a pizza and a movie on the couch after a long day. So how do I incorporate pizza into my new diet? With Cauliflower! Below are links on how to make an awesome cauliflower pizza that will keep the fat off of you.

Side note: I was super skeptical when Catherine first presented the idea of a cauliflower pizza to me but I was amazed at how much I actually liked it. The crust bakes thick and crispy giving a taste not so different from a dough pizza crust.

Lastly, make sure you don’t go overboard on the cheese and make sure your topping stay healthy. My favorite combo is a pizza bbq sauce with grilled chicken, mushrooms and a little bit of blue cheese but you can obviously create any combination you want. And although this is a very healthy alternative to a traditional pizza, I’d try to limit yourself to one or two per week tops. Let me know what you guys think after trying yourselves!
