UPDATE: Good for Cafferty, who went all-in for Obama way back when:
The differences between Barack Obama and John McCain couldn’t be more well-defined. Obama wants to change Washington. McCain is a part of Washington and a part of the Bush legacy. Yet the polls remain close. Doesn’t make sense…unless it’s race.
Obama certainly has brought “change” to Washington; he’s brought Chicago to DC. As to the rest, some of us simply saw through the Obama-hype and MSM-burnish. It might really have helped if anyone in the leg-tingled mainstream media had actually asked Obama a question tougher and more meaningful than, “how’d you get to be so great?” and “doesn’t Bush suck? A lot?”
But reading that, I realize it must be a truly crushing blow for some Obama supporters to see this fakery made so plain:
Welcome Instapundit readers and thanks, Glenn, for the Instalanche!

Nothing new, “there is no honor among thieves” aka survival instinct trumps loyalty. Expect to see this more and more from “unexpected quarters”.
Ha! That last sentence is the best– “Here’s hoping the voters remember some of this crap when the midterm elections roll around later this year.” And on CNN, no less. Could it be the press has finally had enough?
Praying this is so– it would be great to have actual journalists doing their job again. . .
THINF: Thank God It’s Not Friday. If it were, we wouldn’t get a juicy bit of political read meat like this today.
McCafferty is showing his true colors; He is grumpy all the time to everyone and has no friends.
Surprising is an understatement!! Wow. If they’ve lost Cafferty…….
I need to get up to speed here. I haven’t been here in a few days, which is SUPER unusual. I mean SUPER!
Whoa! That really is an unexpected surprise. Jack Cafferty is one of the liberal media who think Obama walks on water.
Hopefully, he will remind the voters of this crap later this year when it will affect the mid-term elections. Unfortunately, many Americans suffer memory loss where politicians are concerned. Someone will need to remind Jack in a few months!
By the looks of things, Cafferty was always a loose cannon (he supported Bush at one stage, then turned against him, & long before Obama’s election was attacking Democrats for not distancing themselves from Republican positions enough for his liking).
I picked this up just from his page on Wikipedia. So it seems as though he was less an Obama supporter than a whinger along the lines of John Pilger, who wants politicians to hand over the world on a plate & is upset by any compromises that may become necessary in the reality-based community. I would second what Scott Jerome has said.
I advocate voting for Democrats in 2010. But I am not aware of anyone giving a flying one what I think
So we will see what the outcome is. Certainly worth speculating what Obama would do given the restrictions on him (as if Democrats of various persuasions weren’t doing that all by themselves), whether he would win in 2012, & if not who his replacement might be.
Funnily enough, I never watch TV apart from University Challenge & very occasionally some really trashy soap opera or something. But I have to visit family or friends- I haven’t even got a set myself! I do get a bit lost amidst people who are regular viewers/listeners & keep an eye on who everyone is.

The voters will remember this crap when the elections roll around if the MSM finally does its job and keeps reminding them. That depends, of course, on whether Obama and his Corruptocrats manage to buy it off yet again.
The sheeple will re-elect the same group of ususal suspects. The number of people who pay attention to these issues are way too small.

RE: THIS…..
….is not what we in the military would call a ‘good indicator’.
What do I mean?
If the people who helped put Obama into the Oval Office are blasting him AND if Obama does nothing to change his ‘strategy and tactics’, it bodes VERY ill.
How so?
Because it means Obama doesn’t care what anyone thinks of him and his ‘administration’. And if he doesn’t care about what people think of him, he doesn’t care what history thinks of him either.
So what does that mean when he doesn’t care what people or history think of him? What’s he up to? What’s his ‘plan’?
Could it be something like what his spiritual mentor “Wright” and his political mentor “Ayers” were teaching him all these years?
Happy New Year,
Chuck(le)
P.S. Worst case scenario? Do you REALLY want to know?

What is most surprising is the network that it was broadcast on. This thing is spinning out of control, and I don’t know what the hell is going to happen. If they don’t back down there is going to be a huge crash. Hell, there’ll be a huge crash even if they do back down.
There is something obscenely fascinating about a slow-motion train wreck.

After carrying The One’s water for all these years too!
Bottom line: President Obama (who advertises himself as a constitutional lawyer no less) apparently doesn’t understand the constitutional restrictions on his powers over the House and Senate – which are NONE. They make up their own minds what to do or not do. His mistake was making the promise; Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have to live with the karmic consequences of what they have chosen not to do. And it ain’t gonna be pretty, methinks!
We’ll see if Tingles follows suit now…or if it’s even ever mentioned at all on Hardball.
Cafferty is to CNN what Andy Rooney is to CBS. The curmudgeon who can say what he wants and who comes off as being the common sense, non-partisan soothsayer. They trot him on for a few minutes and then you get hours of the Lamestreamers like Wolfy running the show.
Somebody’s chickens are coming home to roost
I think CNN just became an “illegitimate” news source.
Transparency has nothing to do with conservatism (Bush certainly did a lot behind closed doors) or liberalism (can you spell C-l-i-n-t-o-n?).
However, Pelosi appears to have completely swallowed the Queen Midas kool aid, believing she need not comply with common sense politics.
Even CNN (I’m waiting for MSNBC to get on the bandwagon) now sees this for what it is.
Without any inflammatory labels, this is just plain bad politics.
Just a little speed bump in his and the msm’s slobbering romance with “The One”. He will soon re-embrace his lover, and all will be right again in Lib town.

I suspect they’ll all pay. It’s just that Pelosi and Reid will be the first ones to feel the voters’ wrath.
Wow. That had to be painful for Cafferty, who is certainly not a GOP fan. Using the “lie” word was more than I expected, but telling people (in effect) to return the congress to the GOP this year blew my mind. If the Dems have lost him they are in worse shape than I thought.

Change the name Obama to Bush and you have the same bull.
Hey Anchorress for president! She seems to have all the answers.
Hey Andre – if Anchoress allowed name calling, I’d call you one. It starts with an a.
Andre, do you have an actual argument to offer, or just the usual Alinsky shame/insult tactic?
(Unless, and until, you do, I would dub you with the same “a” name Fry did.)
Also, it’s way too late, in 2010, to continue blaming the nation’s problems on Bush.
If you can actually defend Obama, defend him. If not, name-calling’s not gonna get you anywhere.

Yeah, Rhinestone! (rah! rah!)

It will make me feel better, though!
Yes, Fry, there, there now, it’s okay. The ouchie is all gone now. There, there. (Rah. Rah. etc. so on, and so forth.)

The outrage is coming because CSPAN and the liberal press are being shut out which, is not what they expected. They expected to carry the “glorious rise of socialism…Live on CNN and CSPAN! And our new wanna be dictators would let them, as long as the truth won’t stop the process. In this case the truth will stop the process so…lights out cameras off, we are going to screw some people and we don’t want it seen!
It wonder if the press will grow a pair when they realize that the socialists expect them to remain lap dogs.
