personal responsibility…

personal responsibility… September 11, 2008

… Some where along the way we lost it, our sense of personal responsibility.

I see it every day in my job. Some one has a sob story, life was unfair to them, they couldn’t pay their debts and now their credit is shot and they can’t even get approved for a rental property. The government should pay their debts, forgive their school loans and medical bills and I should be less cold hearted and rent to them.

I am just exhausted by this overwhelming self of entitlement we have adopted. No one takes personal responsibility for their own faults and then look for the government or some other agency to give them a hand out. Decades of government subsidies has not made the poor better off. It has made them incapable of providing for themselves and totally reliant on the government.

I’m disgusted and have no hope for this country.

I have no hope for the next generation of children when I see them being reared by individuals who collect disability even though they are perfectly capable of being employed and then harrass me because we won’t rent them the house they feel they deserve. I’m tired of being bullied by Hispanic civic leagues because we require a valid social security number to apply for a rental property. I am tired of being expected to speak Spanish.

It doesn’t matter who gets elected. We are screwed either way.

McCain supports amnesty for illegal aliens and so does Obama. Which ever way you slice it things will continue to get easier for illegal invaders and harder for American citizens. It has even become discriminatory to try and uphold the law in dealing with illegals.

And does any one honestly think that Obama will go away if he loses in November? He truly believes he is the Anointed One. If he loses it will further fuel his determination making him even more dangerous.

I really do believe this is the beginning of the end for our country.
