Kentucky Woman “Ordained” As Priest…

… Ordained, in quotes. Just calling yourself something doesn’t make it so. You can call me “Your Majesty” all you want but it won’t make me Queen of the Internet. Without wasting more mental energy than this story deserves, I’ll just point out the sad obvious fact that this is really about obedience and humility and Rosemarie Smead’s lack of it.

Picky and petty of me, I know. But. Check out the shoes on these women.

  • maizie13

That IS the EXACT sentiment I expressed to a friend about this story yesterday. Reading the article-it’s all about HER when it should be about Him!

  • tedseeber

The day the women priests movement embraces pro-life and pro-obedience to the magisterium, will be the day they’ll have an argument for female ordination.

Until then, this is the call to political power, not the call to the Holy Orders.

I know I am not supposed to encourage “snark” but would have loved to read a more flushed out post on this one! Good Girl Crescat for staying above them.

    Pride is the soul-killer.

I’m offering my rosary for her today….this is beyond sad

  • Peg Weissbrod

Good for her, good for them.

I know this is an old comment, but why do you feel this way?

They look like clowns. Extremely sad that a former Carmelite nun would decide she knows better than mother church.

  • Rebecca

The mocking, ridicule, pettiness and judgment displayed by the commenters here could not be more antithetical to the teachings of Jesus.

Did you read the link I provided in the post to the full news story? I am sure you’ll find more mockery and disdain directed to the Church than anything posted here by my readers. Rosemarie Smead’s comments about the Church were far more petty and judgmental I can’t helped but wonder why she would even want to be a member of the Catholic Church if she holds us in such contempt. Oh…. that’s right. Her pride. Dare I say her attitude is “antithetical to the teachings of Jesus”. *gasp*

Thank you for commenting Rebecca, but you have no grounds for righteous indignation at the comments here. They should rightly direct it to the fake lady “priest” in the post. The poor dear needs our prayer and pity, bless her heart.

Wow. Those are some real nice geese they got stuck to the wall there…

    Just trying to be nice.

  • KyPerson

So sad this took place in my state. But at least it wasn’t in my city.

but if we made you queen of the Internet, would you execute all the trolls?

    • Eugene Edward Yeo

      Why, umad?
