I loved Neylan’s description of the Mormon Women Project. I realized that for myself a few years ago. When I realized that my personal world could be much bigger than home and church, I got involved in some efforts that have given me a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I can be working for good in the lives of many, not just church members. That’s one of the reasons why I am so happy to be involved with WAVE as the Women’s Service Mission Director. It was my dream to work with other LDS people on the women’s issues I had been working on. With WAVE, I have those two combined and I really am living that dream. But I had to first feel confident enough to take that initiative. Thank you to that ladies here for encouraging that in others. I would really love to hear that message spread far and wide and I think the Women’s Project is doing that very well.
I would like to see the list that someone mentioned (through WAVE?) of ways wards and priesthood leadership can encourage more participation from women. Will you include a link here?
