Things You Should Read: Mike Cosper’s New Blog March 6, 2012

Mike Cosper, contributing writer for the Gospel Coalition, recently began his own blog.  It is well worth your time.

Here’s a description of Mike:

Mike Cosper is the Pastor of Worship and Arts at Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, KY, where he’s served since its launch in 2000. He leads a team of worship leaders that serve at campuses around the city, and is one of the founders of the 930 Art Center, an art gallery and music venue located at Sojourn’s midtown campus. Mike has produced or executive produced several albums of re-tuned hymns and worship songs with Sojourn Music, featuring musicians and songwriters from within the church. Mike also serves as an executive elder, working to keep the mission moving forward and the vision clear within the team.

Mike is extremely skilled at both leading worship and engaging culture.  His blog features material on these and other subjects, including recipes for great food (from places like Momofuku in Manhattan, a culinary interest we definitely share). He consistently drills to the heart of an issue and considers it from a full-fledged theological perspective in which Christ is Lord and king.  I’m looking forward to the book Faithmapping, which should hit in 2013.
