Patheos Writers Honored by the Catholic Press Association

DENVER — June 27, 2015 — Nearly a dozen Patheos writers were honored by the Catholic Press Association this month at its annual Catholic Media Conference in Buffalo, NY.

Among those receiving top honors were Eve Tushnet and Paddy Gilger, S.J. (First Place, Book Awards); Sister Theresa Aletheia Noble, FSP, and Deacon Greg Kandra (Second Place, Book Awards); Lisa Hendey and Sarah Reinhard for best group blog; and Marge Fenelon, named an Egan Fellow by Catholic Relief Services.

Responding to the recognition, Patheos Catholic Channel Manager Elizabeth Scalia, an award-winning writer herself, said: "Our goal at Patheos has always been to find thoughtful bloggers who not only bring fresh perspectives to their readers but do it with  uncommon clear prose that is often grace-filled. Seeing so many of our bloggers honored by the Catholic Press Association, the Association of Catholic Publishers and other organizations is a heartening affirmation both of our editorial direction and the giftedness of our group of writers. We are very proud of our team."
