If a female rapper wishes rape on a conservative female, does the media hear its sound? April 15, 2016

Remember that time the media took female rapper Azealia Banks to task over wishing the gang rape of Sarah Palin by a “train” of “the biggest burliest blackest negroes?” No? Me neither.

That’s because the mainstream media let this one slide big time, either by light coverage or ignoring it altogether. But why would they stifle such a story with all of its gritty, celebrity substance? This story has everything:

  • Famous female rapper is duped into believing a fake “news” story about a female conservative who said blacks never resisted slavery, but willingly accepted the institution
  • Famous female rapper responds in disgusting anger on Twitter wishing the gang rape of the white conservative by a group of black men over several vile tweets
  • White female conservative responds with grace and class on Facebook
  • Famous female rapper barely apologizes and offers a “I was just joshing ya” defense

Feminists should be screaming! The black community should be outraged at being lumped in with such sexual violence! So what is it about this story that if it was the other way around and a white woman wished a black woman was gang raped by a group of white men we would never hear the end of it and a million apologies would never be enough? Oh yeah, it’s because it was wished on Sarah Palin. That’s why.

That’s why, as Christian Toto pointed out, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety have ignored the story. That’s why Entertainment Weekly gave Banks’s apology a passing mention, and why The Washington Post blamed both ladies for being equal “provocateurs.”

Outlets that weren’t conservative were too afraid to post what Banks actually wrote on Twitter, boiling the revolting suggestions down to describing them as simple sex acts. Though Banks deleted the offending tweets, they were captured forever on the Internet. Read them for yourself (here’s your warning to turn back now, you can’t unread these):

I mean, seriously? “Run a train on her.” Banks redefines what sick means.

Well, at least Twitter did the right thing and canceled Banks’s account for violating its anti-violence and discrimination policies, like it has for so many conservatives who’ve never said anything remotely as vile. Oh, that’s right — no they didn’t!

Banks is still free to move about the planet, offended whomever she pleases on or off social media. It appears that only one person can ever be disciplined and lose a job for publicly degrading Palin. And that was MSNBC’s Martin Bashir who once wished someone would “p*ss” and “sh*t” in Palin’s mouth after she compared the national debt to slavery.

The war on women is real and it’s not just perpetrated by men. It’s liberal women and it’s the liberal media who prefer to look the other way when it’s not one of their own.
