The old sitcom 30 Rock — which was created by Tina Fey — had a joke in one of the episodes about Harvey Weinstein taking advantage of actresses… way back in 2012.
In the scene, Jenna Maroney (played by Jane Krakowski) said she’s not intimidated by Hollywood or any of its power brokers. Then, she dropped Harvey Weinstein’s name.
This was either an incredibly prescient scene… or perhaps Tina Fey knew about the allegations against Harvey Weinstein all along. The Daily Mail details the scene:
‘Oh please, I’m not afraid of anyone in show business,’ she tells Tracy Morgan’s character Tracy Jordan.
‘I turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than three occasions… out of five.’
Of course, this looks particularly bad now that it’s come to light that Weinstein is accused of raping three women and admitting to harassing and groping many others. Here’s audio evidence that he groped one woman who was terribly upset by it:

The Weinstein Company this week fired Harvey from the company he created. In a statement, they said:
‘In light of new information about misconduct by Harvey Weinstein that has emerged in the past few days, the directors of The Weinstein Company – Robert Weinstein, Lance Maerov, Richard Koenigsberg and Tarak Ben Ammar – have determined, and have informed Harvey Weinstein, that his employment with The Weinstein Company is terminated, effective immediately.’
Laurie Stark, on Twitter, reminded us of a very salient fact:
“Remember: The Weinstein Company didn’t fire Harvey because they found out he was a sexual predator. They fired him because WE found out.”
Now, the question lingers. Did Tina Fey know?
