Americans everywhere celebrated Christmas yesterday. President Donald Trump and his First Lady Melania sent out greetings, naturally using the medium that is most familiar to the President: Twitter.

The First Lady tweeted:

“We see children packing boxes to brighten the Christmases of our brave men and women in uniform. We see families reaching out to neighbors in need. And we see communities coming together to serve one another.”

Along with the message, the Trumps filmed this video message:

Additionally, the President tweeted out this Bible verse:

“For to us a child is born. To us a son is given. And the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

For Christians, the President said, Jesus is the “greatest Christmas gift of all” and is the “reason for our joy.”

It’s wonderful to see the President acknowledging the Christmas season using actual Bible verses.

He concluded, “God bless you, God bless America and have a very, very merry Christmas and happy New Year.”

Merry Christmas to all!
