(AoftheANews) Dissatisfied with Pope Francis’ inaction on their full page ad in the Thursday April 16 edition of The Chronicle, prominent Catholics in San Francisco have issued a second open letter, this time calling on God to oust Pope Francis.
“In an apparent snub of our status and prominence, we, the undersigned, hereby petition you – God the Almighty – to remove Pope Francis, and replace him with someone who really really believes in the traditions of conscience, respect, and inclusion on which our faith was founded, and not merely give them lip service.
“It’s been a full twenty-four hours since we published our open letter to him regarding Archbishop Cordileone, and nothing has been done. It’s obvious Pope Francis is insincere in his pledge of being tolerant and merciful. If he were truly merciful, he’d care that our feelings have been hurt. Instead, it seems that Pope Francis is going in a direction that is completely opposite where You are going, and creating an atmosphere of complete intolerance.
“Do the right thing, God. Remove Pope Francis.”
Those who signed the open letter refused to speak to AoftheA News, but one person, speaking on the condition of anonymity through an unnamed spokesperson, said, “Hey, we’re rather prominent. Just ask us – we’ll tell you. We’re far too prominent for Francis to take this long to do what we want, so we had no choice but to go over his head.”
And if God doesn’t respond?
The spokesperson told AoftheA News, “We’re prepared to take the next step – to The Ninth Circuit.”
