Bloggers: pray for us!

Bloggers: pray for us! August 4, 2005

I want to issue a call to prayer to those of my readers who feel connected to this blog. There are three things I would love you to pray for specifically.

1. My family Please pray for us, I just read of David Warnocks Moving house and thought how strange, for God willing we should be doing the very same thing within a month. Please pray that the one small sticking point that is holding things up right now will be moved and the deal can be signed. Pray for our whole family, and especially my dear wife over this summer that the move will not be unsettling. We will remain at Jubilee and I at my job, but the kids should move school. It would be great if that could happen at the beginning of term.

2. My sermon this sunday. As the church grows the responsibility of preaching becomes ever greater. I am praying for a step up in the level of annointing this sunday. I feel it is a crucial message. It is not ready yet. More importantly, I am not ready yet. Pray that God will stretch me this sunday and that at least one soul will be saved as a result. O God, give us souls! Please pray that I will find the time to get before God as I should and that his word will be able to flow through me unimpeded.

3. This blog, and other blogs Please pray that God may guide us all how to best use these things for his glory. I sometimes fear that we may miss the opportunities these things offer us to reach out to one another and grow. Blogging brings certain responsibilities and sometimes I am sure that especially the prominent bloggers feel that- at least when they are not trying to kid themselves that actually they are NOT that well-read really. As I often say to myself: theres always a bigger fish- unless you are Glenn Reynolds.

Please do drop me a line to let me know you have been able to spare a moment to offer a prayer- it would be good to know that Gods people are praying right now.
