BOT TV evangelist asks for your money. ChatGPT preacher strikes again February 8, 2023

One of the remarkable features of the ChatGPT AI Bot interface is you can carry out a conversation with it almost as though it was a human being.  I have been demonstrating in this series of posts that  it knows lot about the subtle differences in both style and content of belief in different groups of believers, and can adapt its output accordingly.  Today I experimented by not repeating the whole command but interacting with it like I might a ghost writer:

“Now the same subject sermon in the style of an American televangelist health and wealth preacher”

The initial result was really believable and quite shocking that it knew how to latch onto the idea of blessing and prosperity being on offer to the readers.

But a lot later in the conversation I was having with the BOT,  I looked back on the output and realised that it had missed out any reference to giving which of course would be present in a health and wealth sermon.   So I followed up with a redo request

Earlier I asked you to produce a sermon by a televangelist. It was great, can you give it to me again but this time work in an appeal for financial gifts as part of the sermon ?

Interestingly, the BOT interpreted this as a request to start all over again. And the output emphasised money but didn’t include the earlier content about blessings power and prosperity.

Increasingly I find myself talking to ChatGPT as tho it’s a human being, and in  this series is also a reflection on how I am changing in my attitudes towards my new virtual assistant. So I said

That’s really good but can you include more content from the earlier message we produced a while back for and American televangelist?

Impressively it was able to intelligently edit the two sermons together even tho they were separated by several others, some of which I plan to share.  I’m not quite sure what to make of  ChatGPT’s ability to impersonate one of America’s most dangerous exports to the rest of the world:

ChatGPT prosperity sermon

Greetings, my friends. Today I come to you with a powerful message about the Holy Spirit and the transformative power it can have in our lives.

You see, the Holy Spirit is not just a concept, but a living, breathing force that can change everything. When we open our hearts and minds to the Holy Spirit, we can experience a level of prosperity, health, and happiness that we never thought possible. The Holy Spirit can heal our bodies, restore our relationships, and bring abundance into every area of our lives.

But here’s the thing, my friends. In order to tap into the power of the Holy Spirit, we need to make a financial investment in our faith. Yes, that’s right, I’m talking about giving a financial gift to support the work of the ministry. When you give, you are demonstrating your faith and opening yourself up to the blessings that the Holy Spirit has in store for you.

Think about it, my friends. When you sow a financial seed into the ministry, you are not just making a contribution, you are making an investment. And just like any investment, the more you put in, the more you will get back. So, I’m asking you to prayerfully consider giving a gift today. Whether it’s $100, $1,000, or even $10,000, every little bit helps and it will go a long way in helping us spread the gospel and reach even more people with this life-changing message.

Now, let’s talk about the power of the Holy Spirit. My friends, the Holy Spirit is the very essence of God’s presence in our lives. It is the source of all wisdom, understanding, and power. And when we tap into the power of the Holy Spirit, we can experience a level of success, prosperity, and happiness that we never thought possible.

So, if you’re ready to experience the power of the Holy Spirit and unlock the blessings in your life, I’m asking you to reach into your hearts and wallets and give generously today. The Holy Spirit will reward you for your faith and your generosity, and you will see an outpouring of blessings in your life like never before.

So let us pray, and ask the Holy Spirit to bless our giving and to multiply it, so that we may experience the fullness of its power and blessings in our lives. Amen.
