Tonight at the second “Warnie” award ceremony the tension is hanging in the air. Who will receive the award? Looking slightly uncomfortable in the spotlight our host shuffles from foot to foot. If a pin was to drop then the noise would resound throughout the auditorium. Looking slightly embarassed Adrian begins the announcement: “Tonight, we are here to honor the unsung heroes of the blogosphere. These are the bloggers that are tipped for the top. These are the bloggers you... Read more

I think we will keep the Christian Blogs bit and call it 10 Christian Blogs:a Decablog Thanks also for all the other Christian Blogs that have been talking lately about the need for us to network. I hope that everyone fully understands the heart behind the Decablog. It is certainly not to make anyone feel left... Read more

In case you missed it the first Warnie was awarded to John Mark Reynolds, and yes David as a fellow preacher you shouldn’t even have to ask- we are always ripping off other peoples ideas. Of course my award is inspired by the Jollies! When a man begins blogging, sitting in... Read more

Search Engines have come up with a simple way to reduce the incentive for comment spam. Using Haloscan has seemed to prevent me from having a significant problem but requires a pop up window. I am therefore trialing “real” comments from Blogger as of now, and for a limited period will have both functioning. Unless the blogger system horribly fails (anyone with any experience of comment spam and blogger now is your time to speak up! Registering is necessary but... Read more

RazorsKiss has been saying some helpful things which coupled with Hugh’s book is helping to force many of us to look again at how we link to others. Indeed he lists several blogs who have all recently begun new initiatives to try and generate more linkage between us all. I am thrilled that he has also started another new aggregator page focussing on apologetics. To me the more aggregators we have the better. I heavily depend on the blogdom of... Read more

BBC NEWS reports on the vanishing parish church in the UK. With 800 UK churches now having 10 or fewer adults in their regular Sunday congregation, many are beginning to close down. I should be disappointed. I should mourn the passing of a “christian” nation. I should want to agitate to keep these churches open. Funily enough I dont. Jesus said he would take the candles out of the lampstands. I feel sometimes we try and keep churches alive that... Read more
