In a moment that may be the crowning glory of Gordon Brown’s career (I am not convinced he will EVER be the UK’s prime minister) the BBC reports “G7 finance ministers have backed plans to write off up to 100% of the debts of some of the world’s poorest countries.” Read more

Taking a leaf from David’s book (as ever) I decided it was time to tell you MY story. I may do this in several parts but hopefully not however many his will end up as! I was fortunate enough to be born to Christian parents. In fact the story goes back further than that- on both sides my grandparents (and I think their parents etc…) were all christians. They went to solid evangelical churches- in the case of my fathers... Read more

It seems to be the time for nice comments from people which is really very welcome. I have been a little disheartened of late, especially regarding all the debate about the penal substitution matter. We all benefit from receiving encouraging words- they are like an oasis in the desert. Words like the kind ones I will quote in this post encourage me to keep going. Secundum Christum found my blog through Evangelical Outpost’s link to the Decablog. He is trying... Read more

Pseudo-Polymath asks for an explanation of what it is that leads to us having divisions in the body of Christ. I thought I would spend a few moments explaining what it is about the family of churches I am a part of newfrontiers that draws me to be so glad to be a part of it. Look what arrived in my email today- ——————————————— Hi David & Adrian, I want you both to know how much I enjoy your websites. I think most bloggers forget that there is a real person out there reading their stuff, but you consistently exhibit dignity, decency and courtesy to people you don’t know, and that means so much to me. I don’t think I’ve ever seen either of you be unkind even to people with whom you don’t agree. I... Read more
